I buy $10 tickets maybe once a week. I usually win on them. (Most I've won is $40). If we had $20 tickets I would play if the odds were good and if the top prize was good. For TN we have enough players they could go to $2 million annuity or $1 million in a $20 ticket. They could go $500,000 on a $10 ticket.Note: There is a $5 ticket here with a min top prize of $1 million. It's annuity though. Win for Life. You get $52,000 a year for the rest of your life.

Louisiana has a $10 scratch off ticket called $1,000,000 spectacular. It has odds of winning something of 1:3.03. Maximum prize on a scratch off is $200,000 and losing tickets can enter in a second chance drawing of $1,000,000.The highest price I've seen in Louisiana is $10. Well, in mi they have $10 tickets with a $1 Million dollar prize, but the catch is that its paid in an annunity...the gall of them and then there is the $20 ticket and if you win one of the 1000 prizes of $1000 you are entered in for the grand prize of $2 million ...as you can see I am in noooo hurry to buy either of these tickets..they are such a lucrative scam , at least for the state of michigan. not always. in theory, a state could print all the winners big winners, but print out so many tickets that regardless, they are making a profit. PA does second printings of tickets that don't sell too well, as well as the big sellers. think about how many win for life games PA has put out.

i might buy a 5 dollar scratch off every blue moon,but i'll never ever buy a 30 dollar scratch off even if i was told it had a 70 or 80 percent chance of winning,i ain't taking the chance period,30 bucks is way too much for a scratch off,i guess them are for the haves not the have nots.....

exactly. granted i do not plan on buying a $30 scratch-off, but the principle of the matter is the fact that $30 scartch-offs are not introduced out of player demand, but out of lottery greed. the lotteries don't really care about compulsive gambling or how much players fork down at a chance at becoing rich. lotteries care more about the profits from those tickets. the states that offer $30 tickets very likely only have one top prize,and there's a good chance it will be won in the early stages o... You guys have it all wrong with wanting a 30 buck scratch off to have a 10 million dollar prize. I would rather have ten 1 million dollar prizes offered at reasonable odds then one ten million dollar prize at horrible odds. Exactly Doc. The 1st prize better be the largest ever of any scratcher, AND with those $20-$30 scratchers, they better pull the game outta the stores when there's no more 1st prize wins left. It's one thing to leave the game in the store if it's a $10 or less scratcher, but $20-$30?! Yea right

i agree. lotteries are getting way too greedy with their ticket prices. sure inflation is up, but if we are going to pay more for a ticket, then we expect a better return. if i was to shell out $30/ticket, i expect a top prize of somewhere around $5 million to $10 million.

that won't happen for many years, and even when it happens, $10 million won't be that much anymore. remember that there are states that just started selling $5 games.

Ouch. How many 1 million dollar payouts does it offer? For ten bucks in Illinois they offer a possible million dollar payout. Three payouts per print, if I am not mistaken.
