Fast Eddie,IL has 15 ball sets and 15 machines. Each ball set and each machine are chosen at random using one of the machines and ping pong balls. The balls are weighed, the machines tested several times, etc. by the accounting firm that oversees the draw. The process starts a couple hours before the draw. Also unless you know somebody that works for the lottery only the man upstairs knows what goes on at the studio a witness might not be present at every drawing and a guard might select the ball sets or the auditor.looking at that list i have for maryland i could have won 15 grand or more if i just played the same numbers they drew all last month and part of this month. This list i made dosen't show the repeat numbers that hit from last year.

Eddie you have to understand that the balls sets are weighed to a certain tollerance say plus or minus 2 tenths of a gram. But every ball isn't necessaryl the same diameter that tollerance could be plus or minus a 64th. In other words must be able to pass thru the opening un restricted. I suspect that pre draws are done to insure that the same numbers don't come up every time. In maryland my undrstanding is they have 3 different safes of balls each safe has 8 sets of balls in cases. But why four4me? Ball sets are basis to certain numbers? Do the not change the sets as much on the weekends? what gives? Don't the do test draws before every drawing. I want anwsers.

Was wondering if anyone had a thought on why this seems to happen a lot. Last nights IL. winner was 337 and tonight's winner was 335. Is this random coincidence or does this happen for a reason? Same ball machine as last draw or somthing else? Does someone have a theory on this? Why do some numbers almost repeat the next draw. Or is it somthing that just gets noticed but happens not as frequently as we think
