It sure has and it wasen't skill guick picks and fortune cookies don't make it a broke game. All it means that people got lucky and bought a winning ticket. it didn't take any skills to write down a bunch of given numbers. Which by the way is done every day for some game or another in every state. I have used fortune cookie numbers horoscope numbers and every other kind of numbers picking method i can find. four4me i agree completely that they need to leave powerball alone that all it is is a streak of luck thats all,they need to let it even itself out,it'll get back to normal dventually,i've always been more partial to mega millions myself,my predictions hit more on it....

leave the game as it is there is nothing wrong with it. people aren't winning because of the matrix they are winning because it's a fluke some just have had a little streak of luck is all. isn't that what it's all about.

They ought to at least double the minimum guaranteed jackpot. 10 million just doesn't excite me much, especially knowing that it's only about 3.3 million after lump sum and taxes figure into it.

I don't think you get it. The difference between 135 million and 180 million to win isn't very much per ticket but would be enough to get much higher jackpots. If 135 or 180 is too much that's what state lotteries are for. Eventually dwindling sales will force them to change. No one wants a game with crummy jackpots and high odds. Powerball is really in the dumps right now. People really excited about the low jackpots should skip multi-state games and just play state lottery games since in the case of powerball the jackpot would be higher and the odds MUCH better than powerball.I would hope they could push the odds to around 180 million to one soon. Otherwise their sales will really tank as an improved Megamillions goes on line.

As far as I can tell, every single Powerball winner from the past two years has chosen cash instead of annuity. Powerball clearly needs to do something - the jackpot rollover amounts are pathetic and the jackpot is being won too often. They need to recruit some more states, like perhaps Florida, and maybe change the matrix to increase those jackpots. They may be in real trouble soon if the changes to Mega Millions with the CA additon take off.
