With the chance of it being lost in the mail, i wouldn't want it sent that way. Besides, the ticket can only be claimed in the state it was purchased in.

I know some of the states you have to be a resident of that state to buy threw mail. It is illegal to mail lottery tickets. I have tried Virginia for Mega. I just go to NJ for Mega once a month.

From the MM FAQ:Click to expand Can I buy Mega Millions tickets by mail? Yes, in states where it is offered, you can subscribe to Mega Millions by filling out a subscription form and returning it to that state lottery. Check with the state where you play to find out all the details.

The best way is to buy the tickets yourself even if you have to travel to a near-by State or else have some one you trust buy them for you. As has been pointed out on this forum many times, you have to read the small print of these on-line services, some only pay out a limited amount if you have all the winning numbers because they are running their own lotteries and not buying MegaMillions or PowerBall tickets.RJOh

Where can/should I buy Mega Millions tickets online? I used to get them at megamillionsonline.com but they stopped selling them :( Google lists serveral different places that offer similar lottery services. I like to play Mega Millions and Powerball when they go over $100M. Anyone here buying tickets online? Also why did megamillionsonline.com stop selling tickets? Thanks
