I'm not suprised they are looking at making some changes. The jackpot just does not get as high as frequently as it use to, and it seems that it takes forever to build up to a decent level. With the addition of California and the probable boost to Mega Millions, I think they know they have to do something to generate interest.

Personally, I hope the game remains as is. We had 19 individual draws of $100 Million or more jackpot level in the mid and later portion of year 2003 and that seems like a nice balance. Even with more players in the game, 53 with 42 and a little roll-over luck can still produce record setting jackpots.

MPJO,I also wrote to MUSL and I was told that it was very likely that the PowerBall game would be changed sometime this year if the states were to go along with it. I asked about changes to the matrices, payout structure, and ticket price. The respondent only ruled out a change in the ticket price, but he was not specific about any changes that might take place in the matrices or payout structure. What is the two phase system that you referred to? What does that mean?Good luck, aye

Sure, I'd be ecstatic even if I won a mere 10 million, and I'd be set for life I were carefull. But if I won 100+ million I would be able to go completely crazy with my money like Jack Whittaker and drive around with a suitcase full of cash and buy gold toilet bowls and such.
