You have to define broken . It is true that the MA lottery website has this quote:Did you know..... Jackpots for The Big Game - Mega Millions are expected to reach up to a Mega $500 Million. And they have haven't even gone past $300 million. And with Texas added, are even more unlikely to do so. So the lottery bean counters may be disappointed, but I don't think the players or winners are disappointed in $50-$150 million. It is interesting that even before Texas was added, the lottery expect... [ More ]

We already have all the proof we need. Its broken. move on. Powerball just isn't smart enough to fix their game. If high odds and crappy prizes are what you seek you can just go to a powerball state and play that. I just am tired of two broken games.

I'd like to see the game and odds go unchanged for a year after California joins and then assess the situation. Then they would have proof that the jackpot was hit time after time between $10-40 million. Currently the odds are 135 million to 1. That means that even if they sold 100 million tickets a drawing there would be 35 million unplayed numbers, and if any one of them come up, no winner. I can't see that it's so dire it needs to be changed.
