Well it needed to be changed it's sad that it's not much of one. I agree that public opinion at this point would be moot. One could only hope powerball won't screw it as badly as mega has. 175 million may seem like a lot but with California added it really won't make a big difference, they needed to be closer to the 200 mark. Personally I'm hoping for odds closer to 1:200 million. Like 185-190 million to one with less megaballs.Like 5/59 + 1/38 or 5/60 + 1/34 or 35.I'm also sure that Texas will ram this through irregardless if people want it or not.Sales don't really support more than 12 million yet until the sales from California are known. They could always raise it to 15 if the sales are good.

You can get that from any number of state games. Of course here in WA state lotto plus (which had a plus ball) and lotto (which does not) the plus game hit new levels of prizes and the old and current game is stuck at under the 5 million mark since they brought back that worthless game. I don't think a change to 175 million is enough to fix it but we'll see.No one seems to be saying when any change will actually happen though.

I just read over at the http://lottoreport.com/ that the TLC Texas Lottery Commission could have a set matrix change for Mega Millions. There proposing a matrix of a 5/56 and 1/46.
