RickG, You sound like my dad; he's all about fed insured bonds for investing purposes! :) Maybe you and I have both had these experiences because we ARE destined to win a big ol lump sum soon, and we needed those experiences to prepare us for the BIG WIN!!! Thanks Konane...good info. LuckyF.T, indeed that sounds like a hiccup in the time frame. That happened to me before. I had a goal of a complete, certified Morgan silver dollar coin collection, almost all of them in uncirculated condition.I accumulated that collection within a few years. While I was accumulating it I was buying when the coin market was high. The coin market sank and at a time when I needed money I had to cash it in for thousands of dollars at loss. Enjoyed the article! I can't figure out, though, why sometimes my imagination works really well and things manifest like magic, and other times I can wear myself out with trying to image and create and visualize, only to have it either a) not happen at all or b) happen when I no longer want it to happen!
