i don't care about the states. and neither do you. we play the lottory to win.if we wanted to just help the states we would just donate the money.stop the lottory and ask for donations and see how much you get.

All they have to do is look at the total different combinations covered in drawings now when there are an excessive number of winners and before when there weren't winners for corresponding drawings. There should be a difference if there is really something going on besides chance randomly picking winners. If the same number or fewer combinations are covered per drawing now as before, how can they rationally say the game needs to be changed?I remember a few years ago when there was a jackpot... I don't think the size of the jackpot has anything to do with it. Larger jackpots no doubt attract more players, but there are a lot of players in the 20 something states with Powerball, plus the many players who cross state lines.The more chances people buy, the greater the chance that someone will have the right numbers, regardless of the odds.Just my thoughts.

I don't mind the low jackpots. I want to remind you all that this is an odds game. The recent winning might explain if the jackpot does not get won for a long time. It just might be setting itself up for a record jackpot ever in powerball. I say prep your numbers. It might be a one time thing.I hope I win before the increase the matrix. I am sure all these 18 million winners are as happy as a 100 million winners.

yes doctor ,and if they pay out 7m in cash that leaves 5m to operate for 4 days 3 daysif the draw is on wednesday. if they can't operate 3 days on 5m they need to quit.

every $10 million drawing, they take in $12 million in sales USALLY. they have enough to pay the cash option, and cover the cost of employees, machines, etc.

Well they added a bunch of new states wtih new players and didn't have the foresight to change the matrix. The current slump in sales and in the size of the jackpot is something that could have been foreseen exept MUSL didn't think the game through. I wonder at this point if they are bothering to call up the participating states to make changes or what.

Once again $20 million seems hard to break through. With all these frequent Powerball hits, are we on the precipice of a really big roll-over run during one of the near term jackpot cycles? At times like these when Powerball seems stuck, I can't help but ponder the question ...could we rapidly break out of this seemingly vicious cycle?If it happend in December of 2002, it can happen in April of 2005

this is getting old. i find it hard to believe that such an increase in frequency of jackpot hits is attributable to pure conicidence/luck. Last year, in the middle of march there were only two winners. It wasnt until July that the powerball had been won 6 times. I dont mind the powerball being hit more often, but seeing that jackpot drop down to 10 million over and over again is getting quite old.

On the other side of the coin, the Illinois Lotto has currently gone 33 consecutive draws without being hit and that jackpot has actually jumped $2 million to $27 million. A $2 million jump has never occurred in the IL Lotto since the site started tracking the game in June 2002.

People just keep winning this thing. Winning and winning and winning. That would be nice if that was the idea of the game. But the idea of the game is large jackpots that generate excitement. $10,000,000 may not be measly if it was just handed to you. But when the odds are one in 120 million, it's chump change. And keep in mind that's the annuity jackpot before taxes.

Someone in Pennsylvania won Powerball tonight. This is very unbelievable. People consistenly beating 120 million to 1 odds to win the Powerball jackpot at such a low sales level.Well, congrats to the winner..
