			<description><![CDATA[<p>I&#x27;m generally in favor of ending the casino monopoly on table game gambling and the governmental monopoly on lotteries.  The case for forbidding gambling wasn&#x27;t a good one, perhaps, back when it was illegal everywhere except Las Vegas and there were no governmental lotteries.  It was done in the guise of protecting the morality of the citizenry, which it didn&#x27;t succeed in doing, which was a misguided and hypocritical aim, but was at least, consistent. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>First I have to admit I&#x27;m biased because I live right next door in Louisiana.  When Texas didn&#x27;t have a lottery, alot of Texans came across the border to Louisiana to buy tickets.  Alot of Texans come across the border to gamble in our casinos.  The most successfuly Louisiana casinos are the casinos located in Shreveport and Lake Charles, both very near the border.
