retxx, there are two pieces, the spreadsheet which just holds the raw data, that's more cut-and-paste than write , and the code which does all that comparison stuff, is the part you write . If you're interested in trying to code his system, you can use the code at the beginning of this thread as one possible starting place. You would only need to modify it slightly to hold the extra ranking and statistical data. The people who play p3 and write their own code probably have most of the other par... [ More ]

for those of you playing at home, the system in question is at https://www.lotterypost.com/threads110385p1.htmSteel yourselves for pointless verbosity. Happily, I don't have to change my original answer. You drop the numbers into a spreadsheet. You run different scenarios and output them to another/other sheets depending on which/how many scenarios you're using. Your code picks up the numbers, parses them, runs your filters, drops your results onto your output page(s). You can even branch based... [ More ]

to rephrase it I mean enter the last 30 pic3 draws and use filters such as hll-lhh-sums as an example to reduce the amount of plays. hll meaning high-low-low and lhh meaning low-high-high. I will find the correct thread number so you can look at his formula. I will get back. thanks

retxx, I don't follow the pick 3 threads, so I don't know which poster you are referring to...As far as applying filters by choice ; if you mean use filter A, is the numbers run left and use filter B, if the numbers run right , then yes, it can be done. You would need some code to run behind the spreadsheet, though. If that wasn't your question, please rephrase it for me.

M$ XL also gives you the option of selecting a custom character to be treated as a delimiter or converted to another character. When you do an import from text look for a blank box near the top, where it shows what you will import. You put your apostrophe or whatever into that box. You can tell XL to treat it as a delimiter instead of a character. HTH

lottaloot -If you are using this data from a text file in a simple editor like WordPad, simply use find-and-replace <CTRL-H> to replace the commas with spaces. If it's already a .csv (Comma-separated values) file, you have double commas in there - replace those double commas with a space and a comma. The other alternative is to remove the commas using the same method after the file is imported to Excel, and the numbers will be automatically converted to values after that is done.glj... [ More ]
