With 30 numbers there are 4,060 combinations of 3's, so the wheel has to be big to have a guarantee of trapping 3 numbers if they are there. I like to play 20+ numbers, but I prefer to randomly put them in 20-50 lines using parameters similar to previous winners, that way if I only match the megaball one time I've only lost $20-$50. Matching 3 one time and matching the megaball several times with a big wheel still means you've spent a lot more to get similar results.

Good point RJOh.I've never built a set of predictors that correlates the Megaball number with the regular numbers, or vice versa, but definitely going to set one up.

Anyone notice this about the last drawing? One of the best place to pick up 15-20 random numbers to play in MegaMillions is the mega balls from the previous 30 MM drawings. Chief,You may be right. In the last group I picked, I threw in 05, 33 and 46 in the last combination just to cover all 52 numbers and 05 and 33 were part of the winning combinations. Had I used those numbers as key numbers, I might have matched 3 or 4 plus the mega ball. Good luck to you too.RJOh
