I know it's crazy. But I think I have a better chance of winning too.I recently took a trip to Chicago and had a 3 hour layover in Atlanta. So I decided to leave the airport on the public transportation train and ended up in a big mall with lots of food places and some convenient stores. I got a Mega Millions and a Lotto South. While in IL, I got some tickets. And even more recently I took a trip to CA and got to play TX, AZ, and CA lottery. We didn't stop in NM =( so I didn't get to play... [ More ]

sometimes my husband and i will drive down to georgia to get mega millions tickets. and we also buy dr.pepper when we go down there,it tastes better down there than here in tennessee,at least to me.

Once any jackpot is worth spending extra time or money to win, someone wins it within 5 draws, so why move to play a game for a couple of weeks when you can do the same thing with a couple of trips? Besides, once it's won, it'll be sometime before it's that big again and there's always going to be a bigger jackpot somewhere else. I'm not moving out of charm city to play the games, but when in neighboring states i have bought tickets and will continue to buy tickets in whichever state i might be in.

Call me crazy but if megamillions goes over $100M I usually take a trip to Georgia with a buddy or two. Although we haven't done so this year. In the past we've even hit South Carolina once or twice. As far as having a good shot that was the purpose of the trip(s)! You can't win without at least one ticket in hand. If Florida was to join powerball it would certainly make life easier and cheaper for those very rare occasions where powerball hits the $100M road trip minimum
