I've been to Hawaii 3 times, and it's nice to have a vacation from the lottery ads you see everywhere on the mainland. But if they did have a lottery, I think it would be very successful - there are a lot of poor people in Hawaii, it is a very expensive place to live, and all the tourists from Japan, Australia and elsewhere would buy them.

Afaik, Hawaii and Utah are the only states with NO legalized gambling (casino, lottery, racing, video poker, etc,) but Hawaii does have casino cruises. No idea what kind of casino cruises they are, though. The kind we have here in MA are basically, drive to Lynn, get on a dingy ferry boat, go 3 miles out, wait for them to turn on the machines, then piss your money away. And you can't leave when you're on a bad streak, or stay longer when you're hot, so it's really pretty miserable.But I suspect... [ More ]

Yea do Hawaii sell lottery at all? I think this year or next year Detroit will have a new mayor. The new mayor will be better I think.
