Good point, twisted.I think a rollover would push to $270 million....and another roll could break the $363 million Big Game record. It would be nice to see the current, much-maligned matrix live up to super jackpot expectations. Give the new matrix debuting in a few months something to shoot for.

Last year when no one won a $230 million jackpot, MM rolled to over $290 million. It was close but not over that psychologically important $300 million mark.

WOW! I think powerball needs to take some lessons from MM. After they break $200 million it opens a new player line up. I call them blue mooners. They only play the jackpot games once in a blue moon or when the JP goes over $200 million. I'm betting that the craze will be so high they may rise the jackpot a little by friday. Maybe $210 million??? Time to make that 15 min trip back to GA for more MM and Lotto south (if it rollsover).

the reason to change it is California. You can't add that many new players and expect things not to change. Look at what happened to powerball when they added much smaller states than california.

Even though I could live another 20-30 years being 24 years old, I think I would chose cash. I would rather have full control over my money instead of getting payments yearly. I am going to look at my numbers harder this time and chose $5.00 worth of my own picks and get easy picks for the rest. I'm not going to go crazy and buy $40 or more worth of tickets just because the pot is $200 million. I can win with $10 just as well as I can with $40.
