If the prizes go up as a result of the change then sales will go up also. If NY makes money off the game I'd doubt they would dump it considering the financial shape they are in.

The only way NY pulls out of MM any time soon is if a court rules that the state lottery is illegal. And that's not gonna happen.

I wish TN would get rid of the Powerball and get Mega Millions. I just want to be able to play both games and not have to drive far to play Mega Millions when the jackpot gets high.

But would join Powerball reletively soon after realizing the drop in sales (which is inevitable when you drop a game of that magnitude without any replacement).

That would be nice. Powerball needs New York considering the changes they're making to the game! There's no point in increasing the matrix if rollovers won't get larger.

i read a rumor that new york might be pulling out of mega millions....but wouldn't it be strange if they left mega millions and joined powerball....now that would be ironic....
