You never know. The jackpot could make it to $340 million this run (if it does it probably won't go any higher because of the match 5 bonus pool). We just need it to roll six or seven more times.

Yeah, Mega Millions sales are slowing a bit, but it's still higher than the Powerball sales at that particular jackpot level. As someone once said, players of Powerball and Mega Millions don't want lots of winners; they want high jackpots.

You would think that would sell more tickets. Atleast you should feel like you have a chance of winning, I'm in a Mega Millions state and it's getting to the point where you would think it was rigged that no one would win a under 100 million jackpot. I would play more often if I was in a powerball state, atleast you would feel like you could win a smaller jackpot.

Well, what were the odds the jackpot would be hit three times in a row at the $18 million dollar level!!? That could happen even after Powerball increases their matrix! It's all luck

It's just a shining example of why they needed to change a long time ago. A big run increases sales for the runs after the big jackpot is hit. If a game stagnates and doesn't have a decent jackpot then it's sales drop due to a lack of interest in the game. Big jackpots are great for marketing and for sales.

Yes, it got off to a slow start since no one wanted to buy tickets after it failed to reach $45 million for the thousandth time in a row.$96 million is not $120 million...but it is what it is.

That means people like me that traveled to Indiana in December to buy tickets and didn't win enough to make a trip back to cash in their winning tickets worth while may make another trip to buy tickets while there is still time to cash in those tickets. If no one wins Wednesday, I'll be making a road trip to cash in my three tickets and buy some more and if someone does then Indiana can keep my unclaimed prize.RJOh

According to the Lottery Post Powerball Jackpot History page, it has been 5 months since the last $100 million+ jackpot. ($171 million on Dec. 8, 2004).

$96 million is a great number.Why are there seven days in a week? Why not six?It's sooo tough waiting those 96 hours from Saturday to Wednesday. Imagine collecting $1,000,000 every hour from now until Wednesday's drawing!!96 hours for $96 million.
