Computer drawings should be banned and there should be a law that we have the right to see the drawings live on TV. We're betting our hard earned money to help the state with their programs, so I think we have the right to see the drawing live. The States are making billions of dollars from their lotteries, so why do they think they have to go computerized just to save $80,000 to $100,000 each year. Lottery personnel can monitor a lottery machine while it is selecting the numbered balls, but the lottery personnel asking the computer to select the numbers have no earthly idea what the computer is doing to select the numbers. NO WAY TO AUDIT IT. So, whether or not it's on TV, lottery ball machines are far better.

anything is better than a computer,even if the ball drawing is NOT broadcast its still better than computers.the computerized drawings are dishonest and are a cancer to lottery players.......the first person who thought of the idea to computerize lottery drawings should be in the hall of shame.........

For the record, in MA channel 5 has lottery live, and they get to show the winning numbers first, but they don't actually show the machine. They display the winning numbers one at a time, a la Keno, but these numbers always pop up in numerical order, which is different than Keno.

MA, for example, generally doesn't broadcast its drawings, but claims to use a ball machine. At least for the in-state biweekly games. I assume Mega Millions is broadcast (or at least is available for broadcast somewhere, which is good enough for me), and I don't pay much attention to the daily Numbers Game.
