Tnplayer805 -Nevada has tried to establish a state lottery with the proceeds directed toward education, but the measure hasn't passed the state legislature, mainly due to intensive lobbying by casino interests. If I'm not mistaken the last attempt was made last year.glj

Why doesn't Nevada have a State Lottery? I might have missed this somewhere. You would think if they had that much gambling they would atleast have a state lottery. Hmm.

It has a five million dollar starting jackpot, and reaches a 50% payout percentage when the jackpot rolls over to about 12 or 13 million. To my knowledge it... [ More ]

I'm not too big on casinos. I like to support state lotteries because a good percentage goes to Education here in TN. In a casino it really doesn't have that affect. Just my thoughts though.

States have the monopoly on lotteries. Would you guys support casinos getting in on the actions? I'll use Harrahs for an example. It's a chain of casinos across the country. Would you want them to conduct their own lottery with bi-weekly drawings? And if they did, do you think it would be successful
