I went to the CA website today, and MM in CA will use the 60-day rule. No word on whether SLP will eventually allow the choice to be made after you win.

It so if you're absolutely sure you want cash, you can mark that and be able to claim your prize at anytime and still get it in cash. NJ does it too.

GA also makes you decide when you buy the ticket, however, it doesn't really matter. If you win and want to change they will allow you to switch it if you like.

Well it will be official for Mega Millions because the option isn't on the playslip. I'm sure Super Lotto Plus will follow or already has. I'm sure the jackpot option space will become redundant at that point.

That's how it should be everywhere. (NY and TX also require the choice to be made when you play.

California is close to implementing a 60-day grace period to choose ones jackpot payment option. I saw this on the meeting agenda.
