I'm happy that PB is increasing prizes for 5/5 and 4/5+PB, but disappointed to see the other prizes still the same. I would suggest 4/5 and 3/5+PB should be $150 or $200, 3/5 and 2/5+PB should be $15, 1/5+PB should be $8, and 0/5+PB should be $5. I think PB should have increased the red PB from 42 to 45, 46, or 47 with 55 WB.

It's kind of hard to say on the changes..Till they actually go into play...I like PowerBall. I do think you should get alittle more maybe on matching 3 and 4 balls... But ohh well.I enjoy the excitment of chance...

these changes were long overdue. even before the recent string of jackpot winners, there were some jackpots that were hit at really small levels. remember when three straight winners were from IN, in the period of about 2 weeks? how about the jackpots back in 2002 and 2003 that were less than $50 million? i'm very happy with these changes.

The amount the jackpot rolls by after each draw, that won't change. But it should have more rolls, more often. That will get big jackpots, but it will take a while to get there. Mega Millions will roll much faster (I predict as much as $45 million per roll when it gets big), but will have a lot more winners, and a lot more draws with the minimum jackpot at stake.

Yep, that's reality. In big jackpot games such as Powerball and Mega Millions, the jackpots are heavily funded at the expense of the lower tier prizes. If you don't like it then stick to the low top-prize paying pick 3 or pick 4 games. Anyway, I do like that they are increasing their second and third place prize payouts, but I don't think them increasing the matrix is going to produce any 300+ million jackpots anytime soon unless they can get every state that will be new to the lottery game.... Those payouts would break the bank. You have to keep in mind that there are a lot of prize divisions, and they have to have enough money for the jackpot.

I dont like Powerball. Simply because of the low payouts on 3 and 4 of 5 balls (W/O the Powerball) 3 balls should pay no less than $100 and 4 of 5 balls should be atleast $1000. $100 for 4 balls is BS.

they increased the matrix and the odds went up but the prize payouts went up too how do you feel about the new changes about to take affect
