It's amusing and sad, but not embarrassing or unembarrassing. Look through past issues of Vanity Fair - you will find plenty of articles about how the rich managed to screw up their lives and come to bad ends, people who were born into money and should have been able to handle it. But if the lottery needs a biggest winner ever who will make fewer headlines than Jack, I'm ready for the job.

Seems to me that Jack Whittaker's choices can be constructively used as an example for all potential winners to examine how they'd handle stresses of having that much money to deal with and the ramifications of decisions they might make.IMHO money is an amplifyer of what is already present in a person's life and simply another tool to learn life's lessons. We all hope our decisions could precipitate a better outcome for our lives than his did for him.

after multiple arrests for various offenses, lawsuits, numerous reports of missing or misplaced large sums of money and a dead granddaughter due to a drug overdose its really embarrassing to have jack whittaker as the biggest jackpot winner in US history.lets hope that the changes to mega millions and powerball produce a new jackpot holder......any thoughts
