The good thing about this game is that you can increase your stakes for an extra dollar or two. You can enter all three prize pools at once if you want. I think this might be my flagship game. Also, now that I think about it, the Big Easy should probably start at $800,000 30-year annuity value (with a cash option). That would make signs a lot less confusing.

Unfortunately, by dividing the player base into three separate games, the jackpot pool is diluted so much that the increments would be too small, and sometimes the jackpot may not increase at all. Also, I don't think the diluted prize pool could support three jackpot wins of those sizes, all on the same evening. From a creative standpoint it may be interesting, but from the lottery's standpoint it may be unworkable.

In 1985, but only for several weeks, NY had Lotto 40, Lotto 44, and Lotto 48 (each game was weekly). All three were annuity-only, all paid back only 38%-40%. All three had lower-tier prizes.

One size fits all here. It's three different games, with three different prize pools. But they all share the same winning numbers and play slip. Each game and entry into one prize pool costs one dollar. Or enter all three pools with the same selection for $3. Pick 6 from 49.Big EasyFor the player who's wants to ditch the longshot and go for bigger smaller prizes. The Big Easy game gives more money to the Match 3, 4, and 5 winners. But should you win the jackpot in the Big Easy game, you get... [ More ]
