They could promote MegaMillions based on both the jackpot value and on the number of millionaires that were created in the previous drawing. Until the jackpot is claimed, they would tend to rise hand in hand.

They should make the second prize a million bucks. Several state lotteries have odds roughly equal to that of MM's second prize and they pay out over a million dollars. I believe Md's pays over a million for the same odds.

Just one $1 QP. That is all it takes to win, so that is all I need to play. Plus as visiondude says, with just one QP, then people will know from where the blessings have come

bonnnnnnnnieeeeeeeee, you should be able to do one or both of these things when you move to alaska and play in washington state.you probably can either purchase a 10 advance play card, or maybe even a yearly prescription. (see if the washington state lottery page says anything about it)that way you are not throwing your money at just one shot.if you are meant to , it probably makes more sense to throw (1) combination for 10 advance draws or (1) combination for every draw for a year, then it... Hey Vision, That is something I hadn't thought about. When I move to Alaska, I will have to be playing in Washington State and there is no state income tax there on lottery winnings either. Maybe I should just wait until I get up there to play. Nah! I'll just keep playing each draw until I go. You never know what good things could happen. -Bonnie Oh and for the thread question. I played 2 separate QP's in IL but don't think I will play unless the jackpot is higher than 100 mil. I don't like the tripler promotion. It only triples the lower tier prizes $2 - 10 but I do like the fact that I didn't have to pay a extra dollar for it. I see GA is giving 1 QP for every 5 your spend on it.

Both, a mix of my own picks and quick picks. That is, when I actually play. I doubt I'll make it to New Jersey for Friday. But the 2nd draw (and the first 56/46 draw in Atlanta), I'll have no problem with seeing I'll be in Virginia.

yesireee supreme LP master.grew up in california, but moved to atlanta and lived there for 7 years.just moved back to california about a year ago.could it be a co-ink-ka-dink that i moved back here, and that there is no state income tax here instead of the 6% in GA? i dunno. time will tell. i was looking at that beautiful page you put up at USA MEGA that showed an approximate $1 1/2 million AFTER TAX difference in the jack between living in CAL vs. GA for just the recent jackpot.
