I bought for the max (10 ) draws........I figure that should cover what remains to this series of draws. Well, Speaking of the storms I wasn't able to hit Georgia to buy tickets till today. Normally i buy at $100 Mill but with the previous storms in the Caribbean and gas availability the mega road trip got delayed so that a huge jackpot tempted me to make a stupid and potentially futile gesture and buy mega millions tickets via road trip. It did help that the gas prices are somewhat lower than a few days/weeks ago so it didn't cost an arm and a leg to travel just the arm. I'm set for 10 draws so if... [ More ]

I don't see that California made any major impact in getting to $200M (annuity), and I don't think it going to make a major impact until, maybe a week from Friday. The first time through, those in California thought, because of the hype, they were going to be the winner. the jackpots are getting too high and for people to wait until they reach $100 or $200 mill in my opinion is just assininehow much better for more folks to share smaller jackpots so more of us can compete with the average person.

You should have paid more attention to other games with similar jackpots. I would have based the current run close to the Powerball run won on 5/28/05. You would be off only three million that way.

With the odds as they are now we have a chance to get more $200 m jackpots. I like when they get high just because of all the attention that is paid to them. I mean look at what happened when Jack Whitiker (sp) won that jackpot. He was on every morning show and everything. I, for one, would like to see 10 or 15 hits that peak at $100M or less. Two things would happen. Ten to fifteen people would get rich, and the Lottery Directors would start whinning about the bonus impact. Be great to see the people win for a change.

I am thinking that this run will go to the 205 million range and then get hit. At least I am hoping for a long run so maybe I will get to take a trip to vancouver for a record mega millions ticket. Will see if lady luck is going to give out a record or just another winner.
