i agree with you. i like the ny lotto. i was surpriesed about the second place prize in a positive way. i don't play it enough to worry about the 2nd place prize. i have more shots at the cali lottery than i do for the new york lottery.

California's second prize level in Mega Millions is also terrible the drawing after it is hit. For example, on August 16th, the draw after there was a California 5+0 winner, the second prize was $130,000, compared to $250,000 for all the other states.If you checked the USA Mega Drawing Information page, you'd have seen that.That's the nature of the beast, but once again you use the opportunity to bash the NY Lotto when the topic was Mega Millions, and had nothing to do with NY. I wish NY had a second prize rollover in MM. While NY Lotto has it, it's still a terrible game, especially when second prize just paid out.

All the winners in California except for the match 4+1 players were luckier than the other state winners in Friday night's drawing.

In the last MM draw CASH Only, one ticket hit 5/5, but missed the MEGA Ball. They got $717K as a result.

It's very rare that no tickets hit 5/5 in MM under the 5/56+1/46 matrix. I wonder why CA's 2nd tier prize is progressive

Talk about luck of the draw hey.A couple of Mega Millions drawings ago there were no $250,000 prize winners when there was about $16m in tickets sold for the drawing.Last nights drawing had nine $250,000 prize winners and there was about only three million more tickets sold (just short of 19m).Brad
