If he had a WILL, I assume his heirs would inherit his winnings. If he didn't have a WILL, his estate would be in probate. This is why is it very important that a lottery winner have a WILL to avoid court probate. I can smell the heirs coming out of the woodwork...even the 40th cousin -- twice removed!Sadly, my condolences to his family and his friends for his untimely death.

I'm disappointed to see a winning jackpot winner get killed. So who will be able to get the lotto winnings since Mr. Dampier is dead? Well, congratulations to the $20 million jackpot man in IL anyway.

Whatever happened to New York State's former LOTTO advertisement: All You Need Is A Dollar And A Dream? JSO confiscated clothing from the home where the two were staying. It's been sent to Tampa for processing. Officers also say they found a bag of marijuana in the back of their police cruiser after the suspects got out.Sounds a bit metaphysical.Wonder what those officers did with it.Jack

another example to remain anonymous and to collect the winnings in a method that limits peoples access to your funds. it does happen to the best people and sometimes by thos you may trust. money has a way of changing points of view.
