i used to play every day 1 in 500000 are nice odds for an average pot 150000 now it takes to long to have a good grand prize a free draw is cool i play for all or none

I wished that Idaho's Wild Card 2 grew in increments of 50k to 100k a draw. It usually varies from 5,000 to 25,000 I guess depending on sales and the amount the jackpot is.

I'm telling you, that would never work. So little goes toward the jackpot, and so many people play. Rollovers would be extremely rare, and when they do happen, the roll would be minimal.

I see that Minnesota is adding five numbers (43-47) to Gopher 5. Does NY look at the jackpot pick 5s? NY Take Five should be changed to a jackpot game.

It's debatable how prize money is distributed in a certain lottery game. Some people (like myself) put more emphasis on the payback %.

I agree with you bigdaddy. If I play any lotto system, I rather play fantasy 5 in GA or CA. Besides, MM and CA SLP has odds against me with high jackpots. I rather have low risk and low reward. In GA, I would pick the new system of Fantasy 5.

I like the fact that wheel players can play 20-30 lines and can be profitable on lower tier prizes it is great..remember to use a portion of winnings to save for a bigger wheel during larger jackpots...

js:NY Take Five should be changed to a jackpot game, and add more numbers (5/45?). Such a game would be a good alternative to the cheap lower-tier prizes in NY Lotto. The NY Lottery also needs to conduct player surveys.

I guess you can say Fantasy 5 is what you want Take Five to be. Only difference is Take Five would hardly ever roll over.

GA's lottery director used to head NY. The new Fantasy Five has similar 4/5 and 3/5 payouts to NY Take Five.

The highest was around 1.7 million a year or 2 ago, but typically used to get to 500k-700k 5 or 6 times a year. To reach 500k will take 10 or so rollovers now. Our numbers are not set for 3/5 and 4/5. It is paramutuel (sp?). Thanks.

Michigan has the exact same game as Georgia. Our jackpots start out at $100,000 and is usually hit around the $200,000 with a high of $810,000. The lower tier prizes are 100, 10, 1 for match 4,3,2 respectively. I mean I like the high jackpots but I wouldn't mind getting more for matching 4 and 3 numbers. How high has the jackpots been getting in GA?Brad

We were originally 5/35 when the game was initiated several years back.Our old lottery director changed the matrix to 5/39 about 4-5 years ago where it remains now.Our new lottery director changed payouts to a ticket for a 2 number match, then changed payouts to parimutuel as they now exist as of a couple of weeks ago. Match 5 has lowered, match 4 and 3 have been raised.

I wonder how many numbers in the new method would Fantasy 5 have in Georgia? I like the new method better than the old method.

Old method would be great if they went back to the original 5/35 matrix.Otherwise with new payouts players have a good chance of winning a good lick with lower tier, as opposed to chasing an illusively high jackpot in Mega Millions or having equally lower tier payouts in Lotto South. Seems they're trying to change games around to create something to appeal to everyone. IMHO it's a win/win for everybody.

I was wondering what others think about the new changes to Fantasy 5. The rollovers used to grow in increments of 50k-100k the higher it went. Now, because the lower tier prizes have grown from averaging 20 dollars vs 8 dollars before for 3/5 numbers, and 400 dollars vs 90 dollars for 4/5 numbers, the rollovers are pretty insignificant and not fantasy type numbers for winners. Now they grow by 22k up to 50k the higher it gets. Does anyone like this format and want higher low tier prizes, or wo... [ More ]
