I have a new question. What is the probability that WB 6 and Mega 6 will occur in the same draw? This is based on a 5/47+1/27 matrix by California SLP. I need to know the probability question percentage ASAP in math.

When PB goes to the new matrix on August 31, 2005, what's the probability that all 5 numbers are 47 or less and the Mega Ball or Powerball is 27 or less? Under the current matrix [5/53+1/42], what's the probability that all 5 numbers are 47 or less and the Mega Ball or Powerball is 27 or less? If I'm play under the new PB matrix on 8/31/05, what percentage of time [more or less] difference will be a possible CA SLP pick than the current PB matrix for Saturday's draw on 8/27/05... [ More ]

Following johnph77's lead:CA SLP has 41,416,353 combinationsNew MM has 175,711,536 combinations23.6% of the time the numbers in the new MM format will be a possible CA SLP draw. In other words only one out of every four or five draws in the new MM can be transferred to CA SLP.

Everyone, the reason I'm doing this strategy for PB's [5/49+1/42, 5/45+1/45, and 5/53+1/42] and MM's [5/50+1/25, 5/50+1/36, 5/52+1/52, and 5/56+1/46] because I like my chances of making these picks into CA SLP Picks. I use my PB and MM documents from their past history and then see which of those picks would be valid CA SLP picks. What's the probability that MM's current matrix of 5/56+1/46 will result in 5 numbers that are 47 or less and the Mega Ball that is 27 or less... [ More ]

Just6ntlc,Do you have a plan to compare the old PB with CA SLP and come up with current CA SLP bets based on the old Powerball game? An interesting strategy if that's what you're doing...

The probability is simply the result of the division of the smaller number by the larger - in this case 0.517128. Just over half the time all five main numbers in a 5/49+1/42 drawing will be 47 or less and the bonus number will be 27 or less.

RJOh, what I'm saying it when PB was in 5/49+1/42, how many draws are valid CA SLP Picks [5/47+1/27]? What's the percentage of the PB picks from 5/49+1/42 are also CA SLP picks? Conversion isn't the question, it's a matter of valid CA SLP picks.

Here's my first math question. When PB was in the 5/49+1/42 format, what's the probability that all 5 numbers are 47 or less and the MEGA or PB is 27 or less so I can convert to CA SLP? There are more math questions to come.
