Four4me,I think what Barista is saying is that if there's a policy that guests get limited-time access, then people would not be able to conduct themselves in the manner that you're describing. They would simply need to login if they wished to continue viewing pages.

I will also try to keep (some of) my thoughts to myself that may offend others! LP is the best thing going out there from what I have read here from other members who have done some research by trial and error. ah i'm just a holdout as probably so are many others. Even though i also live on a fixed income i can and should probably been one of the first subscribers to an upgraded membership. However this old clunker barely handles some of the tasks it has to perform and when i tried some of the features this old clunker was working real hard to keep up. I'd never want to close a thread that generates so much interesting discussion. This kind of thing is what makes forum sites so interesting to me. The abillity to discuss and find that there are SO MANY interesting ideas out there. I love when a thread takes on a life of its own! There's plenty of numbers only threads out there for everyone. That might work for you but it didn't for me many times aol has captured so many clicks that this pc would lock up if i didn't clear my cache log off and log back on. And every time Todd made changes to this site i had to log off and back in. No big deal i can handle it. And please don't tell me to find a different isp.

It's evident the way LP users view the site covers the whole waterfront in perspectives. It's unique to the web, so far as I can tell, which means if it weren't here there'd be nothing similar to replace it.I'd always assumed the site pays for itself, was intended to pay for itself. And like i tried to tell you a guest could be a standard member or a paid member who in just not logged in. If you log off and come back to the site without loging in you will show up as a guest. Todd i probably should have explained further. So i will try. There are a few people on lottery post i have made friends with kinda like pen pals but because it was so difficult to translate ideas through pm's and such it became necessary for us to communicate by phone. I usually don't respond to a topic unless i understand or grasp the concept of a thread. As for guest or paid members logging in for long periods. I have done all nighters here on lottery post as well as other members. Rip says I've only had problems getting here a couple of times when the error messages showed there wasn't enough band-width to handle the traffic. Certainly not frequently enough to cause any inconvenience . This is true and it's only happened once to me so far. I use the cookie for auto-login, so each time I go to LP, it logs me. Some time I browse and go away to do something else. Some times I am off doing something else, and forget to come back to log off. Some imes, at work, I'll be watching a thread, and minimize the screen until I have time to come back.

I never log out of the LP site. This way I don't have to retype my password when I return (call me lazy if you will) at a later time. Besides I have way to many passwords to remember as it is. I do belong to some other sites and stuff and I just can't keep all my passwords the same for all of my different memberships all over the net

Rip you or anyone who logged off and didn't log back on when they re visited the site. Would show up as a guest. Of course you can't use a lot of features or post until you log back in but it's my guess when people are showing up as guest there just searching material, reading posts and falling out of their chairs at some of our ramblings.

Yes stumbled up on at a while ago, I've noticed that there are always 100x the number of guest online too.The members are highlighted in yellow. It is a great tool.

On the Lotterypost home page, there is a box that details the number of users currently on the lotterypost website. Right now it's hovering at 400-450, twice the usual, because of the huge Mega Millions pot.Does anyone else watch this box? I love it! It would be nifty to see a record for not only the most users at any one time (1,819 during the $294m jackpot last year), but also for the most during any 24-hr period.
