I agree with you.. when your cash 5 gets high.. well it is best to play it than MM or PB...you get the five numbers you get the pot..With MM or PB get 4 numbers and powerball.. get $5000.. you get only 5 white balls.. $100,000 if I had 5 number to get to hit.. I would want them to hit Cash 5..

True. And BTW, I wouldn't mind winning $200,000 in the Fantasy 5, although many times there are multiple winners. However, most people dream of hitting a jackpot that will change their lives. I don't care about a big house or a fancy car, just the peace of mind. Even $10,000 would change my life right now, but it would be very temporary.

Neither are in my state. For a while I was hoping FL would join PB or MM but I already spend too much every week. I figure if I can't win anything playing MegaMoney (4/44 and a 1/22 MB) or Lotto which is 6/53, then my chances of hitting PB or MM are even slimmer. Still, if I were at the market I might get a few QPs once in a while for either of the multi-state games. But I'm starting to get bored with all the hype to tell you the truth.

I guess, in reality, one would have to know the give away amount for each year, Who ever gives away the most money would be the best - from a player aspect.

The match 5 bonus rule makes Powerball a SLIGHLY better game, even if all Mega Millions states had the Megaplier.

Since PP is at the heavily promoted $240M right now, I am inclined to go with it. I rarely use the PP option, but it is nice having it available; for when the feeling strikes me. My observation is that gamblers are like little field mice, scurrying around looking for the best meal at the current time. $240M/$117.7M has struck me as an extremely inticing piece of cheese!Later this month, when the current PB has been won, and MM rises to the big number, I will switch to the new piece of cheese.Ha... If I was living within a few miles of the CA/OR border or CA/ARZ border, I would be playing both games. I like the matrix of both MM and PB, but if I had to choose one, it's MM because I'm living in CA with MM.

Powerball is slightly better because of PowerPlay. The graduated annuity is not a factor, as I would obviously take lump sum.

i agree with you on this.some of the older members get irritated when polls are brought up again over a period of time but we do have to realize that in that period of time there are lots of newer members that the polls seem new and exciting for them because they are newer members.....

I don't know which game is better, but I only have powerball in my area.And don't feel bad about making the poll. There are many new people who haven't answered this question. I mean if you watch the new members count, it appears that Todd's forum gets almost an average of 12-18 new people a day. I could be off on that though. So why does it bother people to see polls asked even if they have seen it before? Can't those who get annoyed by it just not answer the poll

Choice is obvious on this one. MM has a much better cash payout and no stupid cap on the jackpot like PB. Only way I'd feel good about Powerball is if I won it.

To me the better of the two games is the one I have to invest the least to play and that is MegaMillions. MegaMillions is played in my State and I can buy tickets locally. I like PowerBall but I have to use a ticket buying service or drive 210 mi.(round trip) to Indiana to buy tickets. If I lived in a PowerBall state, PowerBall would be the better game for me. Since both games changed their matrix and starting jackpots, the price of gas is going to discourage a lot of players from traveling
