CASH O:Actually the cash option is a larger percents of the annuity amounts in recent years because annuities don't pay the higher interest they did years ago and now earn less.RJOh

rj:Colorado Lotto used to pay cash option winners only 40% of the annuity. Some time ago it was changed to 50%, so now CO lump-sum winners get a more realistic amount. I wonder whether OH Lot O' Play cash option winners will get half of the annuity, or a floating percentage (similar to MM/PB).

Colorado pays cash-option winners exactly half of the annuity. It had been 40% for years.

That's computers for you. Of course balls can do that too, but it's less likely because they're actually random.
