such a small population here,no lines at all,pb never won here,probably never will,but when i lived in nj,never won big game also,did pik 4 once for $1400,hooked every since.

Today I am going to get my tickets early and beat the rush and just in case the powerball has one of the machines go down tomorrow. 2- $2 powerball tickets both with powerplay and a 1 liter pop for $10. But I think that this time I will buy my tickets in Willamina. One at the grocery store and the other at the convienent store.

Can you be anonymous in ANY Powerball state other than Louisiana, New Hampshire, and Delaware when the jackpot is THIS high? After all, everyone will want to know who won and most states want the public to be assured that the game is honestly run.

one quick pick... same as last week... same as next week.In PA, winners avoid state and local tax... MUSL withholds either 25% or 27%, but you are still responsible for top rate, which is 35%by my calculations... Worked at Lotto Hell last night and will go back in at 4 today. They hired extra help for tonight... I went in at 2pm yesterday and kept a steady line at my register until 9:30... I got one break at 8:30 to run to restroom.. Register amount from 6:30pm til 10:00pm was over 8 grand for lotto...onlyPlease... someone hit the dang thing...

I put 6-10 tickets and here's how it is broken down:1 ticket for myself2 for the pool me and 3 other people on my staff have going. In Louisiana, they withhold 5% for state income tax and 25% for federal income tax. The lottery will issue a withholding form(I can't remember what it is called right now, but it's like a W-2). I'm not sure what Louisiana does to those who play from out of state. It might be best to contact the lottery to see if they do witthold for other states.When you file your state income taxes, you will have to claim it as income no question about it. I'll be buying my normal $2 powerplayed ticket, one line. Plus $3 in Cash 5 for a big $5 bet today.I can't wait to stand in line at the store today. Maybe if someone is buying $100 I'll ask if they want to just give me $31 and cut out the middle man, seeing as the winner gets 31% of sales.

The lottery prize would show up on your federal return. The states compare the federal AGI with the state AGI after they receive the data from the federal government. Anyone ever figure out what the average number of tickets are purchased by each jackpot winner? They never seem to publish these in the news releases.

Mag the cash payout for PB in Delaware is as follows 109,500,000 (no state tax). Maryland can't hit it for taxes until you claim it on the state income tax form when ever you have to file in that state.

In the state of Delaware, the lump cash sum for Powerball is $106 million. If somebody from Maryland wins it, how much would the state of Maryland pilfer in taxes? Does anybody know? For a $300 million dollar jackpot, taking away $244 million dollars is like 3 quarters of the prize. That's a huge cut. A $7 milion dollar a year payout for 30 years isn't bad.
