The Official PB site says it has rolled to $340,000,000. I guess SD's site is for PB, as IL's site is for MM. The first place that'll know the jackpot.But back to the jackpot, they got a new record (albeit in a kind of dirty way). Everything they planned is working in their favor.

i think there's a chance that that website jumped the gun. there was a time when ND messed up. judging as how with that many tickets sold, that the lotteries would need at least an hour and a half, probably two hours or more to figure out if a winning ticket was sold and to figure out the next jackpot. something tells me that SD jumped the gun.

Just doing a little math,It will take about $12,000,000 to fund the $25 million increase.Wednesday you can expect them to sell at least $90 million in tickets which means about $27 million should have gone to the prize pool.So that means if it is won on Wednesday each other the 2nd tier prizes will share an extra $15,000,000.Brad

There is a rule that if Powerball reaches a new record, for every drawing, the jackpot cannot increase by more than $25 million per drawing. The previous record was $315 million, so for next drawing, the annuity jackpot cannot be higher than $340 million - if it is not hit Wednesday, Saturday's jackpot cannot be higher than $365 million, and so forth. The extra money that goes to the jackpot rolls down to the match 5+0 winners, and that accumulates until the record jackpot is won, on which dat... [ More ]

Wow. Looks like the cap doesn't allow the jackpot to increase by more than $25 million over the previous record for any single drawing. The Powerball.com front page also suggests there were no jackpot winners, else the statement at the top would already include, The jackpot will be reset to $15 million.
