Jake649, I went to http://www.powerball.com/powerball/pblist.doc to figure out the dates of the roll 4 and roll 5 records of PB. 42 million was set on 5/26/04 and 52 million was set on 5/29/04. Both of these draws were under the old matrix.

The Powerball lottery set a new 9 roll record of $88 million for the Dec 7 draw. The previous record was $86.3 million. The previous record was set under the old matrix.The Mega Millions 9 roll record is $20 million larger at $108 million.

The 8 roll record is $77 million, I think. That was set on the run following Whittaker's $315 million win.
