In Ohio Pick3:There are 1000 straight combinations and having a dollar wager on each one would costs $1000 and win $500.There are 220 box combinations including triples and having a dollar wager on each one would cost $220 and win:for a triple $500for a double $167for a 6 way box $83If you wagered a $1000 on all box combinations you would cover each one 4-5 times and win:for a triple $2000-$2500for a double $668-$835for 6 way box $332-$415

Your odds are 1000 to 1. As stated by JAG331, if you played every possible combination straight for a dollar you can only win $500. The house gets the other $500. That's why the states love the Pick 3 game, because no matter who wins the house always win. If I were you I would keep detailed records of what's happening with your game and study the charts to look for patterns. Box or straight has no bearing on the overall payout of a game. Put down $1,000 straight on every combination and you'll win $500. Put down $1,000 box on every combination and you'll win $500.
