I wonder if some actually become depressed after a jackpot win later on? Not for poor financial management, but because they beat such great odds finally, and now the challenge is gone. So now what? Sure if you have that kind of mentality something is seriously wrong with you, but I bet it has happened to those already used to being spoiled. I wonder if they continue to play to try again?But yea it is kind of humorous to see the site say $12 million! after the $300 million dollar win. Just goes

I think it's just normal. If the lottery sells hope and they run out what are you left with?It also doesn't help if therr aren't any big games in your area to fall back on. In WA there isn't even anything you could retire on. I'd say 2.6 million would be enough for me to retire on after tax. But games here never approach that exept for Mega.

Yeah it would be hard to get excited. But I guarantee u once you see your bank account(s) after transfers have been made you're gonna scream and jump and say YES! =) I know I would. As long as I can go on my online shopping sprees and travel the world staying in luxurious hotels and still have $$$ left over i'll be ok. But I still won't be able to be friends with Paris Hilton

HAHAH. This Post cracks me up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know alot of people had the blues like this.. I thought I was the only one that felt depressed about it.. and I was too embarrassed to tell anybody. But yes.. This morning I checked the Michigan's Mega Millions homepage and I looked at the odd looking drawing numbers and saw that it came down to 12 Million.. and I had the blues....hahah still ,, kind of funny that many people have this blues . Actually, this is an incentive to get off this record jackpot kick and get back to normal jackpots. Every one feels better when there are more winners.Besides, as soon as the winners start talking, there will be plenty of fodder to go around.

Yes, you are correct. There is always the withdrawal blues. Calming yourself down to deal with your world as it is! Soometimes thats not so good, and sometimes, thats not so bad. But there is always another large Jack Pot over the horizon.

It's awfully tough to get excited about the $12 Million! on Mega Millions' website after a $303 million drop. I'm sure a lot of you guys feel the same way. Kind of a blah day today.
