The bulk of the upgrade is now complete, and it was successful. You may be able to notice a slight performance increase, as the new database technology is better than the old one. However, the big increases in performance will only come after I re-write sections of code to take advantage of new features in the database software.Also, I will be able to re-write the search page from the ground-up to make it work more like Google.

UPGRADING - You May Experience Weirdness

I am upgrading the Lottery Post database server, so it is possible that there will be an outage at some point, and possibly even strange bugs that take place.I am backing up the database just prior to the update, so in the case of a complete disaster, we shouldn't lose very much.I just wanted to make everyone aware of this in the off-chance that something strange or unusual happens.Wish me (us) luck.
