I like polls because you can get a feel for the opinions of others. It is called a consenus. Not that one must form one's personal opinion about a particular topic due to a Poll results, but it's always nice to know which way the wind is blowing. (So to speak) For example: How many people think that taking the annuity payout option is better than the cash lump sum? I think Polls should have their own link, and sub links just like forums and predictions.....That way you can eliminate some of the repetitive ones,,,,,I usually tend to ignore polls or discard the vote....

I like polls because... They can get you in sink with what all the members here are thinking. They bring out beneficial comments that otherwise might not occur. They identify those members who think like you do. They let you know what people are really doing with the knowledge imparted here. ...etc. Yes, very beneficial.

I don't like polls that make a profit off my response - but won't pay me to take the poll! What makes my value worthless and the poll taker values worth a paycheck? Seems to defeat the concept of capitalism.

I think polls should be used sparingly..some of the polls are so silly..and what I really hate is when they start asking the same questions over again for another silly-a$$ed poll.

You mean like going in circles?I only like polls, when a poll is answered from what people think as a polling answer should be, or a question is....that's being asked at any given moment.......LOLGet it??? LOL

I like polls where the people who participate have a chance to comment. They're more meaningful. Come to think about it, how can you have a poll asking if you like polls? The people who don't like polls won't vote, right? I dunno, sometimes my logic is very irrational when I think about it.
