put them into a text file (notepad.exe) first, then import into the excel sheet fromthe Data menu item--> Import External Data submenu------->Import Data... on the sub-sub menuthis opens up the Select Data Source dialog box.let's say you have a text file named Drawings.txt containing the following data...4-5-68-7-54-6-52-8-54-6-52-5-74-6-24-1-1you select the drawings.txt file from the Select Data Source dialog box (after navigating to it's location)this opens the Text Import Wizard...Step on... Did you try changing the format to text once you have copied pasted

Excel Question

When I copy and paste lottery results from various sites into an Excel spreadsheet and the number is in the x-x-x format (has dashes), Excel reads the number as a date. Is there any way that I can reformat the x-x-x number not to read as a date but instead as a number XXX? I can't seem to figure this one out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thanks
