Odds are based on the number of tickets. If there are 433,000 total tickets in the game, 100,000 of those are winners of some sort. So on average, for every 4.33 tickets you buy (figuratively speaking), 1 will be a winner. But that's only the average, all the tickets you buy on a given trip could be winners, or none of them could be winners.

Anybody know how to translate the odds that they state into realworld numbers? For example, if they say that the odds of winning are 1 in 4.33, well, I find it hard to believe that you just need to buy your scratchoffs in batches of 5... Sorry if this seems a dumb question, but got a bet riding on this... Thanks...
