Euro Millions rolled over to 75M ( 52M/$91M) jackpot for the 3/31 drawing. In the last drawing, the amount of jackpot determined was 65.5M ( 45.2M/$79M) and the overall European sales 93.2M. Based on the increase in the jackpot pool, I figure that Euro Millions estimates the total sales for this Friday drawing being approximately 91M, which would be equal to 45.5 million tickets.

Euro Millions rolled to 51M jackpot for this coming 3/17 drawing. For the latest drawing, the amount of jackpot determined was 38.2M ( 26.4M/$46M). And, the overall European sales were 84M. Based on the increase in the jackpot pool, I figure out that Euro Millions expects the total sales being approximately 116M, which would be equal to 58 million tickets (please see the note in the botteom).

Assuming that 58 million tickets would be sold, the probability of EM to roll over on 3/17 is 47

I think that about 11% of tickets sales , not 11% of total prize pot( pool), would go into the jackpot since total prize pool would be one half of total ticket sales.

I would be shocked at a rollover. It's already the biggest jackpot ever offered. I just can't see it rolling over yet again.

I just looked at Prob988's thread - The probability of MM rollover. On Nov.15, 2005, when NJ couple hit $315M, the prob of rollover was ~60%. And,in the drawing with the most resent JP win on Jan.06 this year, the prob of rollover was over 90%.

So, I think that probability sayssomething in the long-term, but in an individual case, the phrase anything can happenstillholds.
