Jake, In Atlantic Canada we have the tag which is the same as encore with the 649 lottery. The top prize for the tag is $ 100,000. It would be great if it was worth a million dollars like the encore.

1. Several years ago. I do not remember when. The Encore number changed from a 6 digit number to a 7 digit number last year.2. Yes, two or more tickets can have the same number. The central computer tries to assign a unique number to each ticket. When it was a 6 digit number, it was common for duplicates since there are only 1 million unique 6 digit numbers.3. The Encore game is not pari-mutuel. If two tickets have the same Encore number and they win, they both win $1 million.

Too bad you can't pick your own numbers. I don't know why more lotteries just offer these speil type games as stand-alone daily games. You'll have your Pick 3, your Pick 4, and your Pick 7.
