Mega Millions and LOP each pay the annuity in 26 equal annual installments. However the LOP cash option is fixed at 50% of the annuity, while MM has a _higher_ floating percentage, which means a LOP cash option winner (if there ever will be one) will get stiffed.

I will never understand the lotteries position to pay out $1 and $2 prizes. This totally dilutes the upper level prizes. Take the Illinois Little Lotto. I dont want a dollar back if I get 2 numbers. I would rather have bigger prizes for having 3 numbers and 4 numbers. For 4 numbers to pay only 100 bucks at over 3000 to 1 odds is a joke. Same with Lot o Play. Why pay back the two bucks. When you win the lottery it should be a hard challenge, and in return the payouts should be decent.

I was just looking at the last 28 draws for lot-o-play and super lotto.Lot-o play last 28 draws started out at $1,000,000 on 10/12 and last jackpot 1/14 is $9,300,000. At $2.00 per play. And super lotto jack pot was hit 3 times in 28 draws. With a higher jackpot payout. Looks like the ohio lottery doesnt have to pay out as many of jackpot with lot-o-play. But i wonder how much there sales have gone down to
