I think it is the time thing..I really do. I used to do all of that too. But lately, I have been doing other things...getting out more..not playing much..in fact not playing at all now BUT I do check my lists only 1 day a week to see what fell off of them. I don't really miss it that much either..I may play some next month or the month after..if I am inclined..if not well so be it. I like people better..I love talking to people so I am doing more of that.

It is fine to save and invest all that money you are putting in the lottery, but only if you want to keep living the type of lifestyle you are living now. In my humble opinion, it sounds like you are a bit obsessed, but it doesn't sound like you have a problem. And I don't think there is anything wrong with being a bit obsessed with it. That's what gives you the drive and the focus to follow the numbers. If you weren't obsessed, you wouldn't be able to win money to take your family on vacation. lotaloot From the looks of all the comments, your problem doesn't seem as bad as you think....Its early in your lottery life, (I m in my 4th year), I used to think that way too, I didn't bet much but I did spend alot of time thinking of the better lottery mouse trap . I even mailed my spreeadsheets to work from home and and back again. I would stay up until the last draw was in also.For 2 weeks now, I have been clean...lol....I no longer do that. You just pick a time to shut the computer off. I'm pretty pre-occupied with the lottery myself, albiet not with the same aspects of the lottery. Don't worry about it, some people have hobbies that they take very seriously, and that's healthy as long as you make sure to balance it with other things. And if that doesn't make you feel better remember this, at least the Lottery doesn't cause cancer (and usually it doesn't cause anything, lottery addiction is extremely rare).

I forgot to mention I keep all my losing tickets and I keep looking at them piling up in boxes and such and keep saying to myself. I think that I am just ticked off because the 223 that I was playing yesterday in all states with the last of my online money, came out today I did not have it in. I had resorted to playing one state at a time. Played MI lost--so I decided to go back to my old ways play all states.Now, I have to wait till next month to play. I don't think your addicted but it's more of a preoccupation with lottery numbers because you have a data base that doesn't automatically update. Since you are the person entering the numbers in it and working the pages you are caught in a loop so to speak. If you don't update it every day or at some specific time and let a day or two go buy then you end up spending twice the time playing catch up with your files. Lottaloot, I doubt you have a gmbling problem from the sound of it. I do think you like the puzzle of the lottery though. It's the idea of the pursuit of a method that works consistently and better than 50/50.There may not be any such method, but there always seem to be short-term trends that can be managed, and if there is a method out there that works to make a consistent profit, no matter if it is a small profit, but consistent, then the thrill of finding that method may be what appeals... Hey Kimberlee!To test yourself on whether you have an addiction or not, why don't you STOP playing all forms of Lottery and/or gambling for 1 month and see how you feel. Then you will know if you have a gambling problem or addiction and can get help. My sense is that you do have a growing obsession with lottery numbers and that is NOT healthy at all.
