i've read a bunch of stories about how the mob used to finance and control the vegas casinos.there is a book called super casino i love this book look it up on the web.its an exciting read.the stories behind vegas.

(I lived in Vegas for 16 years) The Station casinos are popular with the locals, the Rio, and Arizona Charlie's. The Cal caters to the Hawaiin trade and is a lot of fun, Sam's Town, too.I broke in at the El Cortez, it's definitley Glitter Gulch . Where the Mirage is now used to be the joint in town, the Castaways. The Hole In The Wall sports book was one of the first in Vegas. <sniff

Try to frequent the same casinos the locals do. In Las Vegas, it's the casinos off the Strip - Sam's Town and Arizona Charlie's are two that come to mind. Downtown, El Cortez, Fitzgerald's and Imperial Palace are supposed to be generous.In Laughlin, the Ramada Express has been good to me, but the locals go to the Avi, a Native American casino a couple of miles south of the center of town.I stay away from Harrah's in almost any market, as their payout percentages seem to be a few points lower tha... I prefer anything *off* the beaten path. In Vegas - some of the local clubs, such as The Cannery actually pay out well.In Atlantic City..do your homework. If Trumps stock is plummeting chances are the machines are being tightened up. (He's gotta make a profit somehow). Seek casinos that are clean, safe, and have a good turn around of players. I personally like the Stratisphere when I was in Vegas. Wrong spelling..but it's all the way at the bottom of the strip.Aladin was my other one..but, I believe I heard they closed it down or change the name of it.In Atlantic City...anything that is the same as vegas is good. Not really picky about it. I do have a theory of going to the middle class style casino's. The really rich ones I figure will give crappy payouts to people that don't play big...that's why they are the expensive ones.The poo... [ More ]
