My vote is for yes because CA has it's California Combo. Powerball states having Hot Lotto should have the Powerball combo. For $10, players can get $5 QPs on Powefrball and $5 on Hot Lotto.

MUSL may have made a terrible choice in drawing equipment, but they are a model for friendly customer service.

Mr. Strutt was kind enough to answer all of my questions quite thoroughly , and he confirmed that not only is Hot Lotto computerized (as of February 1st), but also 2by2 and Wild Card 2 were both switched over to use the same type of computerized drawing machine.

(2by2 was already computerized, but now it uses the same equipment as Hot Lotto.)

This is just terrible news for true... [ More ]

The ball machines they use for Powerball now are truly random (anyone who's tried to predict P-Ball numbers can attest to that). And they're a lot more fun to watch than a barrel of nuclear waste. Don't let C. Montgomery Burns get in the lottery business.

I love the small multi-state games. I used to drive to KY to play LottoSouth. I would like TN to get into a small multi-state lottery (4-5 states), but I don't think any state should be required to participate. I like odds of 10-20million:1. In my opinion 145million:1 odds are way too long, you have mathematically no chance of winning. 5 People a year will win Powerball, I have a 100 times better chance of being killed at the mall by a terrorist. I still play PB, but not until it reaches 2... [ More ]

You know, scrub this message. I've just found out that Hot Lotto is now computerized. They have switched to a computer that gets results from radioactive decay. They call it Quantum Vision, I call it Lottery Chernobyl. Strike that game of my might play list.

I was thinking, even if every Powerball state joined Hot Lotto (from Arizona to Maine, from Carolina to Oregon), it would probably only roll an average of $500,000 at a time (judging by current sales). So the question is, should all 30 (soon to be 31) jurisdictions that sell Powerball also have to sell Hot Lotto? Should it be a package deal so to speak
