That's cool! Reminds me of a testimonial I read from the Abundance Course site. The person was taught to release his desire maybe to win the lottery and well, he said he became a millionaire overnight.

I did not say it was always true, I think you missed my point, reread. I was implying that so as long as the competency is intact, age is irrelevant. Most of the time it takes many years for the average person to obtain enough experience, and wisdom in order to make the right decisions in life, but not everyone is born equal on that plateau.

I'm one of the older players you are talking about,will be 70 soon and I have won a couple of pretty good ones, MI's Roll over a few yrs back and the Ga Fantasy 5,both were deceint amounts, So don't feel bad about the older people like me,We will survive and I have plans for one or two more,And I guarantee I will hit again.

I was thinking more along the lines of the younger a person was the more likely they are to think that something like a hot car would be a must for someone who suddenly came into a lot of $$$$$$. They'd be less likely to be like the late Sam Walton (Wal-Mart founver) who, while worth many millions, drove around in the same 9 year old pick-up truck.

The more younger the player, and the already responsible and intelligent, will maximize it to their fullest potential. Not all young people are stupid, or foolish. Most maybe, but not all. I would have no problem spending not even 5% of my jackpot and being happy.

My Dad played Minnesota Gopher 5 religiously since its inception. When it first came out, he was still working and thought it would help him and my Mom in retirement. He later retired and still played religiously. He soon noticed that they did not need to win the lottery to be doing ok in retirement.

And then ............... soon after this revelation .................... he ends up winning a Gopher 5 jackpot.

No guilt whatsoever. The lottery is open to all. Everyone will always have a chance, regardless of how small it may be. You are not taking anything from anyone. With that type of mentality you are destined for failure from day one.

Lottery games are available to all ages above the set state laws for gambling so I do not feel sympathy for older lottery players. Everyone who buys Lottery has a chance at winning. Lady Luck visits all different lottery player age groups.-weshar75

Older people are a big reason why annuity prizes and lifetime payouts-ALL of them-need cash options. BTW I'm 42 (43 in July).

No matter who wins young or old, there'll probably be some who will think they deserved to win more because they're poorer, kinder, most honest or just a better person. Unfortunately the person holding the winning ticket is the winner regardless.

Well, I was thinking last night.. I am 23 and I play the Lotto. If I would win the Powerball or Mega Millions. .... that would leave out the Older players who have been playing for a long time. By older players i mean... players over the age of 50. I don't know.. do some of you young players feel bad playing the lotto when the Older players should be winning?
