Capped? I keep reading this here and there. I've never seen this info on any of the PB web sites in states that offer PB. There is a maximum amount that the PB jackpot can reach then? Is that true for MM, too? What is the source of this info

The winning ticket was sold in Nebraska. Big difference. Could be out of state winner. Could be a pool. Could be a lost ticket. Impatiantly waiting for the press conference. Nothing can be done until Tuesday anyway. Bummer winning on a holiday week! Won millions and can't get a single penny of it. Brother, can you spare a dime, has a whole new meaning.

If it rolls, I for one will be ready. I bought tickets for two draws - just in case. Better to have a ticket for $12M, then to have to make the drive again. Being positive, when I hit tonight, I'll have tickets left over for Wednesday. Something to do while waiting for the cash transfer. Remember, holiday Monday, so no cash until Tuesday. MM is Tuesday.

The cap has already gone into effect because it's in record territory. Whenever the jackpot is a new record for Powerball, the jackpot is capped.

Also it is not like anyone would ever actually see $400 million anyway, even if they did pick the annuity. I would much rather have that much money while I am young, not when I am 60. But after choosing cash, and taxes $400 million is actually about $150 million or so, which is still more than enough.

With the Powerball structure, the jackpot will only grow by $25 million each draw and the balance will roll into the match 5 level.
