PB likes to go up 10/ down 10 within the last 5 draws..

Sometimes the number will be one LOWER. It's an "adjacent number:. Adjacent numbers, are, as you say, like repeaters. Usually you will find there is one adjacent and one repeater in each draw from the previous draw.

But the challenge, as you mentioned, is in trying to figure out WHICH ones. LOL

I was scanning the past 30 draws for MO lottery 6/44 and noticed that most draws (over 50%) have one number that is one higher than a number from the previous draw. Example: 1 11 20 32 40 41 - next draw 3 11 21 26 32 38. 11 is a repeat and 21 is one higher than 20. I figure it's probably the same as trying to figure out which number will repeat - anyone's guess, but it might help some of us when figuring out what numbers to include in a wheel. Your thoughts
